Snapshots of heartbreak and struggle capture the essence of the last several years of economic disaster. Photographs supplied by the Library of Congress make up this exhibition showing the range of effects the Great Recession left in its wake including environmental disaster, booming business centers-turned ghost towns, collapsed residential projects, and individuals incapable of lifting themselves from beneath their financial burdens.
