Nature Kids

Tags: Chautauqua Park, Boulder

Nurture the nature in your children with a day of creatures, crafts, games, and music at Boulder’s historic Chautauqua House. Kids will investigate and explore at four different hands-on activity stations: the Colorado animal cakewalk, nature art, live decomposers, and Colorado animal skulls and pelts. Afterwards there will be a 40 minute interactive concert from children’s songwriters Paige Doughty and Jeff Kagan, featuring jingles about Colorado wildlife, mountain ecosystems, and nature appreciation. The program is geared toward 3-5 year-olds, but all ages are welcome. When the morning is over, try a hike on Chautauqua’s Mesa trail to apply everything the little ones learned and take in stunning views of the Flatirons. Wed 10 a.m.
