Blacksmith Day

Blacksmiths were working in Golden as early as 1859—and now they're back in business. Dressed in period garb, experts will demonstrate what it was like to be a blacksmith in the 1800s and how the trade has progressed through to the modern age. Join the "smithies" as they craft metal into useful everyday items such as tools, light fixtures, cooking utensils, and gates. All of the pieces will be available for purchase. Sat 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Date: May 12, 2012 11:00 am - May 12, 2012 6:00 pm
