Chautauqua Silent Film Series
Chautauqua's rustic auditorium is as nostalgic as the old-time silent films this summer series features. Classic silent stars like Buster Keaton, W.C. Fields, and Harold Lloyd take on the emblematic role that made silent films so loved: a clutzy but well-meaning hero who hams it up to catch the attention of a woman. The films are accompanied by live music from the Mont-Alto Orchestra, Hank Troy, and the Silent Cinema Trio. Close to a century after their making, these '20s films still dazzle, and are just right for a summer date night. Wed 7:30 p.m.Date: Jun 13, 2012 7:30 pm - Aug 8, 2012 7:30 pm
