Nothing beats a backyard barbecue. Especially when the backyard is the mountains, and the barbecuers include sixty teams grilling off for the illustrious title of best barbecuer in the Rockies. Kansas City Barbecue Society will crown this year's charcoal champion, while you feast on good eats and participate in fun events for the whole family. Perfect your grilling prowess with demonstrations from celebrity chef Jenna Johanson or run the 5K Bacon Burner for a free T-shirt and beer coupon. Musical guests the Motet, Fishbone, Sons of Bill, and CJ Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band will provide the tunes. Proceeds will benefit more than eight nonprofits, including High County Conservation and Summit County Restaurant Association. Thu 7:45-9:30 p.m.; Fri-Sat 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
