Jazz Aspen Snowmass has been dubbed “the hottest 72 hours of summer,” and with temperatures expected to climb into the high 80s on Friday, the event’s opening weekend to be heated in more ways than one. The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue kick off the festival with their signature mixture of blue-eyed soul, jazz, rock, and R&B. Festivities continue with performances by British soul singer Joe Crocker and four-time Grammy award winner k.d. lang and her new group, the Siss Boom Bang Band.
