Is He Dead?

A forgotten Mark Twain manuscript was found in the Berkeley archives and published in 2003, becoming the basis for this script. In the play, a famous French painter fakes his own death in order to reap the posthumous gains of his art. Twain's social satire comes out when the artist starts dressing as a woman to hide his secret. He can pull off looking like a woman, but he's not so great at acting like one. Days, times vary.
