Junior Firefighter Mini Camp

Children can fight the summer heat with a week-long stint at the mini fire academy. Before the kids can don a helmet and boots, they learn how to cool burns, apply basic first aid, put out campfires, and prevent wildfires. A mock search and rescue and a visit from a Denver Fire Department’s arson dog will prepare them for a junior agility test with a real firefighter. They'll cap off the week with a trip to a Denver fire station to see what the life of a firefighter is really like. Ages 7-10. Mon-Fri noon-3:30 p.m.

Date: Jul 16, 2012 12:00 pm - Jul 20, 2012 3:30 pm
Cost: $55.
Venue: Denver Firefighters Museum
More info:

The 5-6 year olds camp is held June 9-13 and has age modified activities.
