Brown Bag Talk: Leadville Miner Michael Mooney

Pack up your sack lunch and journey back in time with a historical presentation that brings old tales of the Wild, Wild West to life. CU Denver professor James Walsh will illustrate firsthand the hardships faced on the new Frontier as he delves into the colorful character of Michael Mooney, an Irish immigrant, Leadville miner and union leader during the 1880s miner strike. Refreshments are provided by the Aurora History Museum.  Wed noon-1 p.m.
