Golden Gallop

Golden's historic "Welcome" arch might want to change its words to "Where the West Run" come October. Golden's biggest foot race explodes beneath the city's infamous arch and finishes in Parfet Park near Clear Creek. This year's new loop has participants running 5.280 miles around downtown limits of Golden. Proceeds benefit the Golden School Foundation, which strives to achieve excellence, high performance, and accountability in Golden schools. Sat 8 a.m.
