The Piano Lesson

The library's Seldom Screened Cinema Series isn't just about alliteration. The project works to dig up passed over, but ever-so-important films, like The Piano Lesson written by August Wilson. The 1990 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama centers on an African American family clashing over the fate of a piano handed down from days when they were counted as slaves. To make a choice, they must confront the past. Mon 6:00 p.m.
