Films by Phil Solomon

CU Professor Phil Solomon's films are not your average trip to the movies. Solomon's American Falls installation—originally commissioned for the Rotunda of Washington D.C.'s Corcoran Museum—surrounds viewers with images of Niagara Falls that morph into everyday images of American life and found footage from old Hollywood movies. The use of waterfalls is no accident; the piece envisions the flow of the American past as a changing collective dream. Join Solomon for one night as he shows American Falls among other pieces. Be sure to stay for the Q & A. Tue 7 p.m.
