University of Colorado's expert in ancient astronomy, John Stocke, will educate and awe as he presents the astounding traditions of ancient Polynesian sailors, who developed celestial and sailing knowledge to accurately navigate and populate the vastness of Oceania. Learn the basics of astronomy in the South Pacific, how to navigate like a Polynesian, and about the current revival of ancient sailing knowledge. Possible side-effect: irrepressible desire to set sail in Polynesian. Fri 7:30 p.m.
