Radio personality Sheridan Whiteside is on bedrest after loosing his footing on a slippery doorway. He stays at the home of the eager, star-struck couple—with whom he had intended to share dinner with that evening—as he recuperates. Yet, quickly their admiration for the confined local celebrity fades as his irritable attitude and bizarre guests flood their otherwise happy home in this Christmastime comedy. Days, times vary.
