The doomed city of Pompeii had a sister city that met the same fate. Come learn the tragic fate of Ceren, a 1,400-year-old Mayan village in El Salvador. Like Pompeii, Ceren was perfectly preserved when scalding ash from a nearby volcanic explosion enveloped the town in 630 AD. University of Colorado archaeologist Payson Sheets will reveal the history of this village. Thu 7 p.m.
