British detective stories have a few things in common: wild goose chase adventures, unthinkable mishaps, and innumerous missed clues. In this parody of a 1930s sleuth movie, a pre-WWII scheme to destroy the world's diamond market with a kidnapping is muddled when a World War I flying ace/part-time sleuth/Olympic athlete/racing driver gets involved. The play kicks off OpenStage Theatre's 40th anniversary season. Fri-Sun, times vary.

Watch the Harlem Globetrotters as they make high-flying dunks and spin that iconic red, white, and blue basketball on their fingertips. Beers and Bonfire

A bonfire under the stars can warm up a winter evening. This first one of the new year features Wynkoop Brewing Company's Patty's Chile Beer and others. Pair the brews with a Mountainside pie with chicken, roasted peppers, and fresh basil or the Brooklyn with house-made meatballs and fresh jalapeños. Sat 6 p.m.
