River North Dance Chicago

River North Dance Chicago will head west from Chicago to perform their high-energy, jazz-based contemporary dance routines. Choosing five pieces from their longer active repertoire, the show will feature a variety of styles, from a series of Argentinian tangos to abstract dances set to electronica and opera music. Tue 7:30 p.m.

Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical

A science experiment gone wrong, a monster unleashed, and tale of dangerous love: Jekyll and Hyde will always be an irresistible thriller. The classic story and beloved musical is back, with new, contemporary choreography and the powerful vocals of Deborah Cox and American Idol star Constantine Maroulis. Original favorites like “This is the Moment,” “A New Life,” and “Someone Like You” remain, but within the framework of a fresh new show. Tue-Fri 7:30 p.m.; Sat 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m.; Sun 1 p.m., 6:30 p.m.

The stage expression ‘break a leg!’ may actually come to fruition in this mayhem filled comedy. English playwright Michael Frayne sets up a play-within-a-play tale as the story follows a chaotic theater company’s attempts to produce a show. Expect love story calamities and lots of laughs in the contemporary enactment of the pandemonium that surrounds a play’s production.
