Submitted by Kiki Turner on Mon, 04/22/2013 - 10:40am

The boyfriend/parents introduction is daunting, but meeting her friends may be worse. For Tracy and her new beau Glen, this first impression—at a monthly couples brunch—is complicated further when they discover radioactive bombs have been detonated in nearby Los Angeles. Over mimosas and vegan quiche, the group of friends—and awkward outsider Glen—come hilariously unhinged as they realize this brunch may be their last. Tue-Wed 2:20 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m.; Thu 2:20 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

Put away the crockpot and lighten up with the bounty of spring. This cooking workshop encourages students to create healthy meals with local produce. The seasonal menu may include dishes such as roasted radishes with brown butter; portobello mushrooms stuffed with artichokes, leeks, and pine nuts; and a spring greens and cannellini bean soup. When the cooking is complete, students will enjoy the tasty meal with the entire class. Tue 5:30-9 p.m.

Relive the astounding story of artist and photographer Mark Hogencamp, who was put into a nine day coma after being beaten nearly to death by five men outside of a bar. Upon waking up Hogencamp decided to begin his own regime of physical and psychiatric therapy by building a miniature replica of a town in his backyard. Soon photographs of his growing fantasy world were discovered by galleries and magazines. And the rest is art history.

His latest release, Joe Bonamassa: An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House, was unveiled in March and features a rare all-acoustic set recorded during a limited-run European tour. Tue 8 p.m.
