Cherry Creek Sneak

Run your way through the masses to feed the masses. More than 10,000 racers take part in the annual charity-based and entertainment-packed run. The Sneak consists of five different races - from a 10-mile run to a 1/2-mile kids' fun run. After the running, a block party brings everyone together through vendors, a beer garden, and a fun zone for the kids. Proceeds benefit Food Bank of the Rockies, which doles out food to more than 1,000 programs in Colorado and Wyoming. Sun 7 a.m. 

Dia del Niño Celebration

Let dance, music, and stories teach your kids about cultures across the globe at this year’s celebration of children. Design artist Christina Pineda is set to entertain with a performance involving her latest handiwork—a mystical dog named Xico—while other activities include a showing of “Circles of the World,” a movie which combines animation, music, and choreography. Sun noon-4 p.m.

 

The Birth of Rock and Roll

Experience the musical and cultural evolution of America through the eyes of a traveling musician in Ballet Ariel's newest show. From New York City swing clubs in the 1930s to 1940s blues in Chicago to rock 'n' roll's entrance into the mainstream (thanks to a gyrating Elvis Presley), music takes center stage in this ballet.

The Rite of Spring Wine Dinner

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a nod to the classics. This dinner is inspired by the 100th anniversary of Russian composer Igor Stravinsky's celebrated ballet, "The Rite of Spring." Vesta’s chefs are crafting 13 dishes based on the composition's 13 musical movements. Highlights include artichoke ravioli in nettle broth, slow-roasted suckling pig, and lignonberry strudel, with accompanying cocktail and wine pairings. Sat 5-10 p.m.
