Michael Pollan

Submitted by Davina Van Buren on Mon, 04/29/2013 - 4:07pm

You can't truly call yourself a foodie unless you're familiar with Michael Pollan. The author became a household name with his groundbreaking books The Omnivore's Dilemma and Food Rules. In his most recent work, Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation, Pollan tackles a new challenge: using the four elements—earth, air, fire, and water—to inspire mouthwatering dishes (and drinks) in his own kitchen. Tickets include a discussion with the author and a signed copy of Cooked. Wed 12:30 p.m.

Zac Brown Band

Submitted by Lindsey R. McKissick on Thu, 03/14/2013 - 4:26pm

Colorado is known for snow, not sand, but this quintessential country-chill band will make you dream of the beach and the surf. The Zac Brown Band's Southern-twang-meets-Caribbean-ease sound longs for summer nights and good beer. The group's 2012 release, Uncaged, soared to number one on the Billboard 200 chart. In the open air of Red Rocks, expect to hear favorites like "Toes" and "Colder Weather" along with new tracks. Wed-Fri 7 p.m.
