Sleep Tight Colorado's Third Annual 5K Pajama Jog

No need to change into short shorts and a singlet—you can roll out of a bed and run this 5K. Sleep Tight Colorado wants you in your PJ's for its annual fundraiser. A costume contest kicks off things, and be sure to bring the dog—leashed pets can join the fun. Sat 8-10 a.m.

NE Walk Fest

Fall in step for a morning stroll that promotes the importance of walkable neighborhoods. The two-hour loop winds through the neighborhoods of Park Hill and Stapleton, passing chalk art and chances for yoga and Pilates. Sat 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

WOW! Comic Con

Kids can celebrate comics and pop culture during this family-friendly expo. Comic book artists will man two animation stations, and youngsters can also design costumes with recycled materials. In addition, the Colorado Movie Cars organization will be on site with a fleet of famous movie car replicas. Sat 10 a.m.-4 p.m.



Marcela Panasiti: Art from the Earth

Two years ago, Argentina-born artist Marcela Panasiti was told she had a brain tumor. After undergoing three surgeries in six months, she began rehabilitation and threw herself back into her work. In Art from the Earth, Panasiti created adobe canvases from the red, dark brown, and white soil surrounding her Sedona, Arizona home as the foundation for abstract and contemporary murals.

The Throwdown

All those games of cornhole at tailgates will finally pay off at this fund-raiser. The Throwdown is a fundraiser for the Cottonwood Institute, a nonprofit that connects kids with the outdoors. Participants are guaranteed three games with a four team, round-robin format. Sat 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
