Submitted by Kate Gibbons on Tue, 08/27/2013 - 11:55am

Denver artist Julie Puma isn’t afraid of looking her age. In The Immortal Jellyfish, she juxtaposes our youth-centered culture with the body's natural aging process. The series of self portraits show Puma—with an exaggerated, older look—beside her still-developing 12-year-old daughter. The large-scale pieces expose the disconnect between how Puma views herself and how the world perceives her. Tue-Sun 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
