Two world-class American musicians are pushing the boundaries of rock and blues. Multi-instrumentalist and singer David Hidalgo brought Latin American rock 'n' roll to the international stage with his band Los Lobos. Guitarist Marc Ribot introduced an avant-garde, Cuban instrumental fire to New York, playing on records with Tom Waits and the Lounge Lizards, among others. Together, Hidalgo and Ribot create a heady mix of cross-cultural flair and impassioned artistry with their ambitious new collaboration, Border Music. Thu 8 p.m.
