A Journey of the Human Spirit

Eastern Europe's Jewish roots have a harrowing history, but this three-part production - music, opera, and ballet—adds color to what is often remembered only as a dark time. Klezmer music brings back the vibrant, pre-Holocaust Jewish culture, followed by the opera, which was written by and for concentration camp prisoners to relieve their suffering. The new ballet, From Darkness to Light, reflects a time of difficult revitalization following the genocide. Wed-Thu 7:30 p.m.
