Wrap Art: Guatemalan Textiles from the Permanent Collection

Using weaving skills passed down from generation to generation, contemporary Guatemalan women create vibrant clothes and tapestries for both practical use and artistic expression. Connecting the past with the present, curator Beth Olson will take these textiles made in modern times and showcase their various uses in ancient Mayan culture. Look for costumes, wraps, braids, and bundles, all created from colorful cloths. Tue-Sun 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
