The Birth of Rock and Roll
Experience the musical and cultural evolution of America through the eyes of a traveling musician in Ballet Ariel's newest show. From New York City swing clubs in the 1930s to 1940s blues in Chicago to rock 'n' roll's entrance into the mainstream (thanks to a gyrating Elvis Presley), music takes center stage in this ballet. Denver's Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra provides a soundtrack that will keep your fingers snapping long after the curtain closes. Sun, April 28, 2 p.m.; Sat, May 4, 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
