The year is 1988. Dictator Augusto Pinochet has ruled Chile for 15 years. When the government asks citizens to vote on whether Pinochet should remain in power for another eight years, the public is staunchly divided. The "no" camp hires a young advertising executive named René Saavedra (played by Gael Garcia Bernal; pictured) to spearhead their campaign. But with access to limited resources and threats of intimidation and outright censorship, influencing public opinion won't be easy. Days, times vary.
