The U.S. Army Chorus
Editor's Note: Due to budget cuts resulting from sequestration, the U.S. Army Chorus is unable to travel outside of Washington, D.C. The Colorado Symphony has replaced the event with a performance of music by George Gershwin. Find details here.
One of the country’s only professional men’s choirs, the U.S. Army Chorus is composed of military officers with voices ranging from bass to tenor. In its 55-year history, the group has performed at official state events for numerous world figures, including Queen Elizabeth II and Pope Benedict XVI, and has seen its alumni hit Broadway and opera stages. Expect rousing, intricate harmonies of classical music, Broadway show tunes, patriotic anthems, and pop standards—made all the more powerful with assistance from the Colorado Symphony and Chorus.
