Fill the Void
How do you choose between finding happiness and fulfilling the wishes of your family? Shira, a young Jewish woman living in Tel Aviv, must make that decision in this complex, emotional film. Shira's excitement at marrying a young, promising Israeli man is marred when her older sister unexpectedly dies during childbirth. When Shira's Hasidic family learns that her sister's widow wishes to leave the country with their only grandchild, they ask her to marry him—forcing him to stay nearby. Days, times vary.
