Don't wait until Valentine's Day to plan something romantic. Instead, take your special someone for a stroll through the annual Orchid Showcase. More than 200 of the blooming flowers—long thought to be symbols of love and beauty—have been intertwined through citrus collections in the Orangery and Marnie’s Pavilions. Bundle up for this fragrant and colorful winter escape. Daily 9 a.m.to 5 p.m.

Anwar Congo and his friends helped kill more than one million supposed communists, Chinese, and intellectuals during the overthrow of the Indonesian government in 1965, but have never been punished. These filmmakers challenged Congo and his friends to reenact the murders through their favorite film genres. The result is a nightmarish window into the minds of mass murderers. Wed-Sat, times vary.
