Living with the Memory: Rwanda 20 Years On

Twenty years ago, a devastating 100-day genocide that killed an estimated 800,000 people began after a private jet carrying the presidents of Rwanda and Burundi was shot down near the Rwandan capitol. The "Living with the Memory: Rwanda Twenty Years On" exhibit explores the tragedy's aftermath and the memories that haunt survivors through a collection of photos and text. Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Rob Watt and Keri Mills

The lines between artistic media get blurred by these two artists. Rob Watt employs techniques he compares to "drawing with thread" to embroider vivid, vibrant masterpieces, and Keri Mills, a photographer by trade, creates emotionally stunning digital montages reminiscient of paintings. Zengo's Chinese New Year

Zengo, the Latin-Asian fusion restaurant, is ringing in the year of the horse (which starts January 31) with a special menu celebrating luck, wealth, longevity, and prosperity. Take your pick from a tailored list of entrées including steamed scallop gyoza, adobo chicken lettuce wraps, and Singapore style noodles. Thu-Sun 5-10 p.m.

Climb to Glory

You can thank the men of the 1oth Mountain Division for the prevalence of skiing in Colorado. This documentary tells the story of the World War II division that trained in the Rockies and returned home after the war to help develop the lifestyle sport of skiing. Thu 7 p.m.

Editor's Note: This event was postponed from January 9 following the death of Tony Seibert (who appears in the film) in an avalanche earlier this month. The new date will include a tribute to Seibert. 

Snowdown SIA 2014

This year’s celebration features rapper Juicy J—the Three-6 Mafia co-founder who recently released his third studio album, Stay Trippy—as well as local DJs Salva and Bass Physics. Fri 7 p.m.
