YouthBiz Presents: Startup: Think, Speak, and Act like an Entrepreneur

For the budding businessman or woman, this 10-hour curriculum teaches kids how to succeed in the professional world. Young entrepreneurs in grades five through nine can practice budgeting and interview skills and learn how to create a business plan with Anna Leer, director of local nonprofit Youth Biz. At the end of the workshop, students can show off their new skills in a Shark Tank–style business pitch competition for a cash prize. Tue-Fri 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Chili Three Ways and Craft Beer

At this food-focused demonstration, learn how to spice up your favorite chili with a secret ingredient: craft beer. Join brew enthusiast and food vlogger Kassie Haag of Dishcraft as she concocts three different versions of beer-infused chili for guests to sample. Snack on her green chili, which is made with Something Brewery’s habanero mango pineapple pale ale, and wash it down with Intersect Brewery’s raspberry Berliner. Tue 7-8:30 p.m.
