Known for their spectacular landscape paintings, Impressionists worked outdoors to best capture subtle variations of light and color. Following their example, more than a dozen local artists took their easels outside— a la Renoir and Monet — to render the beauty of conserved lands in Douglas county. Their work will be presented in the airy White Pavilion in downtown Castle Rock for an event that combines appreciation for art with a love of the outdoors.
