Submitted by Meg McIntyre on Mon, 08/22/2016 - 10:42am

Celebrate the National Park Service's 100th birthday by taking a behind-the-scenes look at the history of this Colorado tourist destination. In the archives, take a guided tour and examine a collection of artifacts, including 700-year-old Ancestral Puebloan relics excavated in the Wetherill Mesa in the 1960s and photographs taken by anthropologist Jesse Walter Fewkes around 1910. After your trip to the past, savor a meal on the patio at Far View Terrace Cafe as you admire views of the national park's sandstone formations. Thu 9 a.m., 3 p.m.

The Phantom of the Opera

Submitted by Meg McIntyre on Thu, 06/16/2016 - 11:13am

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved Tony Award–winning musical is gracing the stage again, and it's gotten a facelift with new set design, choreography, and staging. Veteran producer Cameron Mackintosh offers a fresh incarnation of the classic rock opera, which is focused more on character development than spectacle. Modern audiences won't miss the ’80s glamour when they hear this darker and grittier take on "The Music of the Night." Tue-Wed 7:30 p.m.; Thu 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m.; Fri 7:30 pm.; Sat-Sun 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
