Consider the possibilities of instinctual creativity at this exhibition featuring two Denver-based abstract painters whose work reflects their preoccupations with and reverence for the artistic process. Johnson explores the ever-changing nature of modern life through her paintings, which she creates by adding and then scraping off layers of paint in a symbolic representation of the coexistence of past and present. Hope’s paintings, meanwhile, are left purposefully unfinished in order to document and celebrate the formative state in which she finds them most intriguing. Thu 6-9 p.m., Fri 5-10 p.m., Sat 12-6 p.m., Sun 12-5 p.m.
