Glimpse paintings from some of Haiti’s most prominent 20th-century artists (including renowned painter and sculptor Edouard Duval-Carrié) at this exhibition. The show explores the contemporary significance of Haitian art, challenging commonly held perceptions about the country as an exotic locale within the Americas. It also delves into an element of Haitian spirituality, such as loas, the spirits of Haitian Vodou (a religion known commonly as Voodoo).
