Neil Simon, who has more combined Oscar and Tony Award nominations than any other playwright, conjured up a mix of elegant attire and domestic chaos for this comical play. The performance begins when Charley Brock, the deputy mayor of New York, and his wife, Myra, invite all of their good friends over to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. Yet the first guests to arrive find Myra missing and Charley unconscious after shooting himself in the ear. Hoping to avoid a scandal, Charley and the guests become complicit in a giant cover-up.
