The 3,000-person town of Walsenburg may not seem like a fine arts destination, but this swanky fundraiser hopes to change that perception. On the heels of the afternoon’s workshop for local for local business owners, this gala supports restoration and expansion efforts at the Museum of Friends, a quirky regional art museum housed in the Roof and Dick Building. (Yes, that really is the name.) Your ticket earns you a night of snacking, dancing, and mingling with local artists, plus the warm fuzzies that come with a good deed done: Proceeds help the museum raise the matching funds needed to secure a recent grant pledged by History Colorado.
