Shock Wave: Japanese Fashion Design, 1980s-90s

Denver Art Museum
100 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy.
Denver, CO 80204

Paris might be the fashion capitol of the world today, but French fashionistas once took their inspiration from Japan. This historical exhibition features works by six prominent Japanese designers and celebrates the style revolution they started in Paris during the 1980s. Issey Miyake’s designs incorporate an inventive approach to pleating, while Yohji Yamamoto showcases avant-garde oversized silhouettes. Tue-Sun 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
