Jim Stevens, an artist who became legally blind after suffering a gunshot wound to the head in combat, uses fishing line and acrylic paint to create striking black-and-white portraits of individuals he respects. This show will highlight a dozen of his most recent works, all of which he painstakingly produces by painting, stretching and arranging strands of fishing line over a black canvas to create a composition eight layers deep. Be sure to look at the pieces from different angles to fully appreciate their unique hologram effect—they seem to morph and move depending on the viewer’s position. Tue-Sat 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
