This retro play begins when two young parents, who are married to different people, have a romantic tryst. After their initial night together, they agree to meet once every year on the same day, in the same location. The plot stretches over two decades and uses six of the lovers’ encounters to delineate the cultural changes taking place in America from 1950s family values to 1960s counterculture.
