Civic Center Eats

Submitted by Callie Sumlin on Mon, 04/27/2015 - 9:55am

Kick lunchtime boredom to the curb at Civic Center Eats, an outdoor gathering of the city's best food trucks. Listen to live tunes from performers like Jeff King and Owen Kortz and enjoy delicious eats and sips from your favorite mobile food vendors, including Manna from Heaven, Jessie's Smokin' Nola, and Quiero Arepas. Shaded tables and an on-site ATM make lunching al fresco cool and breezy. A portion of the proceeds benefits Civic Center Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring Civic Center Park. Tue, Thu 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Coach Andi Herzog's men will challenge Panama, which is ranked sixth in the 35-team division (the United States is ranked second). You'll want to stay for three more high-octane international matches, including Canada vs. Cuba on Tuesday and Costa Rica vs. Haiti and top-ranked Mexico vs. Honduras on Wednesday. Tue 5 p.m.
