Natural Epicurean Fall Harvest

As part of the Mountaintop Dinner Series, this locally sourced meal will feature fare grown at the Broadmoor farms. With produce that highlights the flavors of the season, such as acorn squash, carrots, zucchini, and heirloom tomatoes, the feast will end a bountiful fall season. Wed 6 p.m.

Celebrate the opening of outdoor gear retailer Evo's new Denver store by checking out Alchemy, a collection of images by Denver adventure photographer Ian Fohrman that will be shown in the store’s gallery space. The exhibit will consist of photos of mountain vistas, seascapes, and other scenic views taken from Fohrman’s travels, plus some ski, snowboard, and bike action shots. All images will be for sale, with proceeds benefiting SOS, a youth development organization that helps Denver's underserved youth experience the outdoors. Wed 6-9 p.m.

Join author Robert Crifasi for a discussion of his 2015 book, A Land Made From Water, which explores the ways the development of water and riparian resources in Colorado changed the face of the Front Range. Discover the events of nineteenth-century Boulder that helped set the stage for water development through the American West. This in-depth conversation will include how settlers planned and constructed irrigation systems, used the court system to establish the appropriation doctrine, and instigated a war against the Native American population to gain control of water resources.

John Waters Christmas

Join legendary Hollywood heavyweight John Waters for his annual Christmas show tour. During his one-man show, watch as Waters puts the X in X-Mas with his rapid-fire monologue that explores and explodes the archetypes of the holiday season. This 90-minute show will see the raconteur tackle such material as his compulsive desire to give and receive perverted gifts, his fanaticism for Santa Claus, and hs fascintation with holiday true crime stories. During the show, attendees can bring in BBQ (with vegetarian options) from The Ghost next door. Wed 8 p.m.

This Christmas season, Deacon Gray returns to the stage with a new twist on Tchaikovsky's centuries-old holiday classic, The Nutcracker. In Gray's lighthearted reimagining, the Nutcracker—along with the Mouse King, the Gingerbread Man, and the Sugar Plum Fairy—launch into indignant and hilarious tell-all stand-up routines guaranteed to make even die-hard fans of the holiday ballet rethink the story of old.
