Denver’s already known for its public art (we’re looking at you, glob of kidney beans otherwise known as “National Velvet”), but Breckenridge is the first city in the Centennial State to host a festival devoted to public art. Six artists have created pieces themed around light, water, and sound, including “The Pool” (pictured), Boulder-based sculptor Jen Lewin’s series of colored platforms that create patterns of light when touched. Don’t miss related performances such as “Sonic Chroma,” several new works from the National Repertory Orchestra played against a backdrop of live digital paintings. Thu-Sun 5-11 p.m.
