Rebecca C. Alexander
Rebecca C. Alexander is a partner with the Denver office of BakerHostetler, where her practice focuses on high-end family law for families with estates of more than $5 million, and often involving estates of more than $25 million. Rebecca is passionate about working with individuals as they navigate difficult personal situations involving the law, and brings considerable diplomacy to her family law practice. In addition to taking a hands-on approach in complex divorces involving substantial assets, business valuations, tax and trust issues, she also frequently serves as a consultant to other divorce lawyers on trust issues in divorce proceedings. Rebecca’s background in trust/estate litigation makes her uniquely situated to address these issues. She is also one of relatively few family law attorneys who draft and negotiate premarital agreements. Having drafted hundreds of premarital agreements throughout the country, Rebecca utilizes insight from all aspects of her family law and estate litigation practice to tailor each agreement to the specific needs of each client. She does not believe in a one-size fits all approach.
Rebecca graduated from Northwestern University School of Law, Cum Laude and Order of the Coif. After graduating from law school, she served as a Judicial Clerk to Judge Jim R. Carrigan on the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Rebecca is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© in the area of Family Law, and is AV Rated in Martindale-Hubbell. She is a recipient of the 2013 Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business Award and in 2014 was recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of Colorado’s Most Powerful and Influential Women. She sits on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and on the Board of Florence Crittenton Services, a high school for pregnant/ parenting teen mothers.
