There is something about fall in Colorado that makes you want to rush to the high country to breathe in its beauty. Kebler Pass—which contains Colorado’s largest aspen grove—is right outside the charming town of Crested Butte. The drive there will leave you speechless. After zipping through groves of towering yellow, gold, and lime green aspens, the road opens up to grand vistas of snow-capped mountains and bundles of trees of all different colors. The hiking is fantastic as well, although it can get a little muddy after a recent storm. For an added adventure, stop by Lost Lake, located right off the pass, where you can sit and enjoy the water. Sunshine, forest, and foliage—nothing’s better.
