Some local pols look more familiar than others. Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry (left)  has said he's "practically twins" [2] with former Denver Broncos safety John Lynch (right). That includes a football past. Penry was a star quarterback [3] at Mesa State College.

Though the two aren't mentioned often in the same sentence, former Congressman Tom Tancredo (left) bears a surprising resemblance to actor Pauly Shore (right) (The resemblance is noted in detail [4] on the blog voteforbreakfast.com). Republican U.S. Senate candidate Cleve Tidwell's (left) combed-back white hairstyle is awfully similar to that of Vice President Joe Biden's (right). Tidwell's mane, however, hasn't been the subject of media speculation [5]. Other look-alikes include state Representative Carole Murray [6] and Steve Carell's manager in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" [7] and U.S. Senator Michael Bennet [8] and Terry from the comic strip "Terry and the Pirates."
