You may live too far from your workplace to bike to the office, but with a little more effort (and a lot less gas money), many Denverites could easily ditch the whip in favor of two-wheel travel. Back in March, 5280 senior editor Patrick Doyle [2] argued the case for bicycle commuting (which earned him props from BikeDenver [3]). And in honor of National Bike to Work Month, the Denver Post [4] offers tips on how to transition into a cycling commuter, including leaving early to avoid working up a hurried sweat, and keeping a change of clothes and shoes at the office.
Boulderites will have even fewer excuses not to ride to work once the city's B-cycle program [5] launches this week. And if you're ready to commit, or are a longtime commuter with a bike or two to hand down, the Boulder Bike Swap will be resurrected this Sunday (Daily Camera [6]).
