Once a month, Denver's best baristas gather for a latte art throwdown. For those who enter (a $5 fee), the competition tests finesse and skill—and nerves. At stake: Prizes and bragging rights.

We took in the action at last month's competition at Crema Coffee House [2] where 30 participants vied for the title. The next throwdown is Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at Brewing Market Coffee [3] in Lafayette. The events are free and open to the public.
