Colorado's getting a one-two campaign punch Thursday with news that both President Barack Obama and Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will visit the Centennial State. Obama is visiting Boulder—his third trip [2] to the city this year—while Ryan heads to Greeley [3].
The president and his challenger, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, are running neck-and-neck [4] in Colorado in the days leading up to next week's election. Colorado's Secretary of State's office reported this week [5] that Republicans have a slight early voting edge over Democrats. About 370,990 Republicans have cast their ballots, in comparison to roughly 343,720 Democrats. Meanwhile, about 241,000 unaffiliated Coloradans have voted.
